ieri sera a londra si sono tenuti gli nme music awards, tra i più celebri premi musicali inglesi assegnati dalla rivista new musical express. ecco i vincitori: migliore band emergente: kings of leon, miglior video: radiohead - there there, miglior singolo: the white stripes - seven nation army, miglior film: lord of the rings, the return of the king, rock man dell’anno: har mar superstar, migliore band dal vivo: queens of the stone age, leggenda vivente: arthur lee, philip hall radar award: franz ferdinand, miglior festival: glastonbury, miglior band internazionale: kings of leon, miglior band straniera: the libertines, miglior album: radiohead - hail to the thief, godlike genius: ozzy osbourne.

 bob dylan: note di protesta
“master of war” è stato eletto come il più bel pezzo di protesta della storia dalla rivista mojo. il brano fa parte dell’album "freewheelin’" del 1963.  nuovo tour mondiale per i coldplay
la band inglese che ha scalato le vette delle classifiche con i suoi due primi album, è decisa ad imbarcarsi in un nuovo tour mondiale. La notizia è stata fatta trapelare da ian mcculloch, degli echo and the bunnymen. lui e chris martin sono infatti amici e quest'ultimo ha voluto avere la sua band come supporter del prossimo tour.
